7th National Conference on MSME Financing & Strengthening MSME Linkages was held on 20th September, 2016 at Hyatt Regency. The programme was organized by Indian Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Surendra Nath Tripathy, IAS, Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner MSME, Mr. Rajiva Sinha, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Dept. of M&SSE and Textiles, Govt. of West Bengal were present in the inaugural session. Mr. Pinaki Chakraborty joined the programme on behalf of Neogi Technologies And Research Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Rajiva Sinha in his address told about the importance of MSME units in India and urged the bankers present in the session to give due importance to this sector. He also briefed about the various on line programmes undertaken by the State Govt. to facilitate the MSME sector giving extra emphasis on the cluster programme. Mr. Surendra Nath Tripathy in his address narrated the different measures undertaken by the Govt. of India for the promotion of MSME sectors. He explained the necessity of Lean Manufacturing Technique for the sustenance of business. He also explained the limitations of the banking sector for giving financial support to this area but at the same time requested the bankers to be more proactive for treating the MSME sector.
During Question Answer session, Mr. Pinaki Chakraborty told about the problems faced by NTR Pvt. Ltd. during registration in MSME Data Bank website which was admitted by Mr. Surendra Nath Tripathy and he assured to take actions very shortly. There were two Technical Sessions of which the first one was addressed by the Managers of different banks, official of Bombay Stock Exchange and the mediator between MSME units and banks while the second one was addressed by ECGC Ltd. Dr. Satyahari Dey, Managing Director of Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park, Khargapur IIT , Mr. Dipak Chanda, Dy. Dir.MSME-DI, Kolkata. The programme was very interesting and highly responsive.
