NTR PVT. LTD. IN ENERGY CONCLAVE, 2016
Neogi Technologies And Research Pvt. Ltd. joined “Energy Enclave, 2016” held on 20th August, 2016 at The Oberoi Grand. Mr. T. K. Ghosh joined the session on behalf of the company. Mr. Shovandev Chattopadhyay, MIC, Development of Power, W.B. was the Guest in Chief. The mission of reaching “Electricity to Everyone” by 2018 was projected by all the speakers from their respective view point. All were of the view that to comply with the set mission, all the houses like Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Technology Know How etc. are to follow the path of Consistent Sustainability. The idea of Last Man Connectivity is still remote in our country for which Quality Supply System is to be done by the use of Smart Grid system. Mr. T.K.Ghosh raised a question about the awareness and knowledge base at the ground level for using the Metering Unit which are now amply used abroad. The session was very much interactive.
NTR PARTICIPATION IN INDUSTRY ACADEMIA INNOVATION PLATFORM
Neogii Technologies And Research Pvt. Ltd. joined Industry Academia Innovation Platform – an effort for Building a Knowledge Society and Enabling Make In India. Prof. Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE in his inaugural address described the transformation of India from agrarian society to industrial society and finally to service society. He emphasised the responsibility of the industries to build a Knowledge Society vis a vis he pointed out that more the innovation and more the science and technology, more will be the GDP of the country. He told about the availability of youth forces in India at present. He criticized the expectation of the industry about the employability of the emerging graduate engineers from Day 1. Side by side he also advised the Institutions to be more focussed on industry. He suggested the institutions to keep provisions for faculties who have the experience of industry work too instead of only M. Tech/PhD. He stressed on Strategic Industry – Institute Partnership in the way of keeping Industry Advisory Board for each institution, Internship of both faculty and students in industry. Lastly he told that Industry R & D should be supported by the Institution.
Dr. K Radhakrisnan, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIEST, Shibpur told that it is the institution where one can know the process of learning and it is the Industry where one starts the actual learning. This he referred with respect to the points referred by Prof. Anil D Sahasrabudhe about the expectation of the industry for employability. He also told about the declining position of India in Industry Academia relation. He was hopeful that to make the Make In India programme successful, both Industry and Institution join hands and go forward.
There was panel discussion in Technical Session I about Imperatives for a Knowledge Society, Technical Session II about Aligning Academia with Industry-Symbiotic relationship of Success and Technical Session – III about Special Plenary on Building a Knowledge Society.
The final session was the address by Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Hon’ble President of India. Hon’ble President invited all to come with full vigour to implement the Programme “Make In India” successful. He also told that the success of “Make In India” programme depends on Ease of Doing Business, Infrastructure and Industrial corridors with world class connectivity, FDI (Foreign Direct Investment), IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) as the country counts among the largest reservoirs of R&D talent and finally Start Up India.
